What To Expect
At the intersection of science and spirituality, we're offering a world-class opportunity for evolution, healing, and personal discovery, right here in Northeast Ohio. With experience and guidance from those who have come before us, we've designed this retreat to be a holistic weekend aimed at supporting and fostering your mental, emotional, and spiritual health using psychedelic medicine (ketamine) in conjunction with all the best offerings of The Wellness Den and our highly trained and experienced clinical and medical staff.

Up to 12 beautiful humans will join us. Each day of the retreat is filled to the brim with opportunities for growth, healing, and connection with yourself and others. The psychedelic medicine journeys are just one part of the incredible experience we have planned for our participants. By combining trauma-informed mental health care from our licensed professional team with the holistic and spiritually-aligned offerings of The Wellness Den, our itinerary remains flexible to the needs and desires of the group.

Ideal for those with experience in therapy who are seeking to elevate their personal healing journeys, it is also perfect for professionals in "helping" fields. We are deeply committed to "healing the healers" so that everyone can perform their best work. Additionally, friends, partners, and couples are warmly welcomed to join in this connective and restorative weekend.

If you are just starting your process or curious about where to begin, we welcome you with open arms. You will be surrounded by people who have dedicated their lives to helping others find their path. Our mental health clinicians, yoga instructors, reiki healers, sound therapists, and other supportive professionals are all committed to creating a safe, curious, and compassionate environment for your growth and healing.
Benefits of the Retreat
Medical Benefits
Ketamine has been shown to produce rapid and significant improvement in symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health conditions. Additionally, psychedelic medicines (including ketamine) significantly increase neuroplasticity, which can be an incredibly powerful tool for rebuilding neural pathways, healing from trauma, and rewiring “stuck” thought patterns, beliefs, behaviors, etc.
Holistic Support
Each offering and planned activity is chosen with internal healing and alignment in mind. Yoga, breathwork, massage, reiki, mindfulness, somatic movement, and sound healing all support your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Community
The true magic is in what is created when a group of like-minded and like-hearted souls get together and open up their hearts and minds together in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. “The group is the medicine.” Words fail to express the profound power of such experiences. You’ll have to see it and live it, to believe it.

Activity Descriptions
Fire Ceremony: During our fire ceremonies each evening, we will acknowledge, with love and compassion, what we need to let go of to move into our highest selves. Different ceremonies and rituals may be offered to participants to assist in mutual connection and individual elevation.

Free Time: You may choose to rest, schedule a massage or reiki session, go for a hike, connect with your fellow retreaters, visit the local farm market (Szalays), or even take a dip in the Cuyahoga River!

Guided Mindfulness: During guided mindfulness practices, we will learn to stay present, as it is truly the only time we have. We will learn to stay connected to ourselves, to our environment and to each other through our five senses.

Massage: In addition to being a psychedelic, ketamine is also a sedative which is felt in the body. Massage is a great tool to offer the body a way to move the medicine through the lymphatic and fascial systems. And let's be honest, it just feels amazing!

Reiki: Reiki is an energetic practice where the practitioner, who has been attuned to Reiki, lays hands in your aura or directly on the body and offers Reiki energy to you. This practice will encourage peace, rest and love to flow through you. This is a great addition to a ketamine journey as it imbues healing energy into the neurological system that ketamine is working with.

Somatic Movement: Somatic Movement works intuitively with the body. The practitioner will guide you to move your body into what feels good for you. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Somatic movement encourages the individual to express and release what is stuck within their physical being, creating more space to receive the gift of the journey.

Sound Bath: A sound bath uses ancient frequency to align, reset, and open the entire self. We are energetic beings and when we allow the music to flow through us, we encourage higher vibration which leads to higher understanding throughout your journey.

Yoga: Wake up with a gentle yoga practice each day. As our bodies embark on this journey, a gentle early morning yoga will open our prana (life force energy) to receive the gift of the journey. This practice is for all levels and modifications will be given to accommodate where your body is at in that very moment. Stretch, breathe and rest.
Why Ketamine?
Legality and Efficacy
The Psychedelic Wellness Retreat is 100% legal, “above-ground” and is medically prescribed for purposes of improving mental health. Currently in Ohio, ketamine is the only legal psychedelic medication available for these purposes. Ketamine has a much shorter half-life than traditional psychedelics, providing a softer and often more relaxing experience, with the mind-altering effects last about an hour versus 4-6 hours+.

Experience
Most people find that ketamine provides a deep state of relaxation, tranquility, joy, gratitude, and love. This can be especially beneficial for those new to altered states of consciousness. The state induced by ketamine can facilitate deep introspection and emotional processing, potentially leading to breakthroughs and can improve moods and symptoms within hours. Some individuals experience prolonged periods of symptom relief, enhancing overall functioning and well-being.
Lodging Options
The Psychedelic Wellness Retreat will be hosted at Valley Overlook Campground within the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This recently opened campground features brand-new, luxurious lodging and accommodations that rival high-end AirBnBs, epitomizing the concept of “glamping.” Even the shared outdoor bathrooms are designed with luxury in mind, offering an exceptional level of comfort. This is not your typical campground; everything here is high-quality, immaculately maintained, and meticulously cleaned.

For your stay, several cabin options are available, including a few with attached indoor bathrooms. However, the most popular choice is the Canvas “Glamping” Cabins, available with either a single king bed or two Twin XL beds, ideal for sharing with a friend. We have reserved the entire south end of the campground exclusively for our retreat, ensuring a private and serene environment for all participants. The canvas cabins share a centrally located outdoor bathroom, which will be used solely by our retreat guests and facilitators, maintaining a high level of privacy and exclusivity.
